Authentic Karate of Gainesville offers:
 
  • After School Program:

 FREE pick-up from select schools. We pick up after school and you pick up after work. All in a safe and secure enviroment where all begins and ends with courtesy.

 

  • Youth Classes:

 Teaching REAL Karate and Self Defense. Not someone calling it Karate but teach something else. Karate is a method of training the body and mind in order to improve in all endevours.

 

  • Adult Classes:

 Karate and Self Defense with the oppertunity to train with Masters from Japan and Okinawa.

 

  • Kobudo Weapons:

Ryu Kyu Kobudo with training just like originated.

 

  • Iaido:

The art of the Samurai
















Our Mission

The Directors have trained and received legitimate certification directly from the Head of the System in Japan.
 
Training for decades in the system of Moto Bu Ha Shi toh Ryu Karate Do
Ryu Kyu Kobudo, and Mugai Ryu Iaido.
 
Winning Championships in Forms, Weapons, and Fighting around the globe to ensure the martial arts they train in and teach is the most complete art available.

Our History

Under the Certification of Soke Kozo Kuniba. The direct decendent of the Samurai family from the Sho Shi family of Kings in Okinawa and Japan. The Kuniba family has been known for their excellent Martial Arts for Centuries.
 
The Director is Kyoshi Bill Woodard a Nanadan (7th Degree Black Belt) with a Master Teaching license from Japan. Kyoshi is the President of the National Karate & Kobudo Federation and one of the few legitimate certified Kyoshi in the Moto Bu Ha Shi toh Ryu System. He also holds the Title of Shihan and Rank of Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo.
 
The Chief Instructor is Renshi Jon Bongiovanni a Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt), and personal Student directly under Kyoshi Woodard for 2 decades. Winner of Many Championships and National Coach. Renshi Jon began his training at the age of 6.
 
The Instructor  Sensei Dalton Woodard a Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt)Training in Japan and Okinawa, winning championships from AAU to open tournaments across the globe. Sensei Dalton began his training at the age of 2.
